Collaboration Celebration!

This project was a classic example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Starting with a design by Lori Stephens of Broadleaf Architecture, a true collaboration took place. The homeowners, W. L. Construction, Wendy Beck-Nichols of Corvallis Floor Covering, and Rob Bloom of Premier Electric worked together to transform this living room.

We added six operable skylights with electric shades; completely reworked the stair system; installed new wood flooring and trim along with a new gas fireplace; covered the old brick with eye-popping Carrera Marble. Finally, new wall colors and five new layers of lighting brought it all together. Art, entertaining and quiet contemplation – all important aspects of our clients’ lives – were enhanced.

The completion brought a sense of fulfillment – a successful melding of ideas. Of course, the steady stream of cookies really helped.
